TabTrade Overview - What to Know Before You Sign Up

Tab Trade - The Short Version

Tab Trade went live in Q1 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

His background tells you something. It means the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. But better than a founder with no industry background.

They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.

The instrument list: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.

What You Trade On

They offer: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from a single account. Many pick one platform. Access to both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.

MT5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, it is familiar territory.

cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is apparently coming. That should be a good addition when it arrives.

Accounts and Pricing

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade does not.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you move real size.

Infrastructure

The speed is the area where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote a much wider range.

Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.

Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.

The FSRA Question

Here is the detail that requires honesty. The broker is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.

But. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It should inform how you think about it.

The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that works depends on you.

Deposit Bonus

TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Usual sign-up bonus. You fund your account, they credit extra capital. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you deposit.

The full review, covering regulation, withdrawals, pricing, and more info the bonus terms, is at TradeTheDay.
